for week #1
The purpose of the Madison Challenge initiative is for the Madison community to experience the benefits of a corporate-style, wellness program on a local level. This fun and friendly, community-wide, 10-week healthy living challenge is brought to you by the Madison Chamber of Commerce and the recently formed Madison Council on Health and Wellness. It truly is the competition where everyone wins!

The mission of the Madison Challenge is to actively support a better quality of life by promoting and enjoying healthy attitudes, habits and lifestyles. This program helps us all incorporate more health, fitness and well-being into our daily lives and observe the benefits of better performance and quality of life.

We will strategically start of this program in January to help with achieving goals set for your New Year’s resolutions. The challenge is not necessarily about losing weight or running marathons, it is about implementing at least one healthier habit and embracing a lifestyle of wellness that we all can pass down through generations and inspire a culture of accountability for our own well-being. This is a great opportunity to lead by example and show our family, friends, co-workers and entire community that we all can focus more on improving our health. If we want things to get better, we will have to be better!

We encourage you to use this program to implement healthier and more productive habits in your life and have fun doing it. Here’s to a Healthier Madison and Shoreline community!

Be well,

Dr. John Mastrobattisto, Chairman of the Madison Challenge
